Exploring Opportunities at GMAC Tours: A Virtual Experience

June 24, 2024

In recent months, our organization has partnered with ‘The GMAC Tours’ in two significant events. a) The MBA Tour India, South & Central Asia. b) The MBA & Master’s Tour Spotlight on STEM Degrees. These events, held on February 8th and February 20th, provided a unique platform for individuals seeking higher education opportunities to connect with universities and industry experts. We had over 300 participants at the event, with more than 25 participants scheduling 10-minute virtual sessions with us from various countries such as India, Italy, China, the Philippines, and the United States.

Gaining insights into each participant’s background proved invaluable, and we provided guidance to the best of our abilities. Our key takeaway from these discussions is that many applicants are not fully prepared to embark on their careers and struggle to present their profiles effectively. While some applicants were well-prepared, they still needed assistance in understanding how the program could align with their goals and aspirations for the future. Additionally, almost all the participants needed help articulating their narratives and profiles when applying to business school.

We set up a virtual booth that allowed participants to book a 10-minute virtual appointment with our team. One of the highlights was our 1:1 counseling sessions, where attendees could receive personalized adviceon their career paths, academic goals, and how to enhance their profiles for admission into prestigious institutions.

Our team of experts dedicated time to:

  1. Reviewing Resumes
  2. Providing Feedback
  3. Offering insights into crafting compelling portfolios

So that their application can ‘stand out’ in competitive application processes.

The virtual booth also served as a hub for networking and information exchange. Participants had the opportunity to interact with our representatives, fostering valuable connections and expanding their professional networks. These interactions were beneficial for gaining insights into different industries and career paths and building relationships that could lead to future collaborations and opportunities to help them in their higher studies.

Personalized sessions and networking opportunities

The GMAC Tours featured presentations and talks by esteemed universities. Institutions such as the University of San Francisco, Chicago Booth, Harvard Business School, and UC Davis were among those that shared valuable insights into their programs, admissions criteria, and campus life. These sessions provided attendees with a comprehensive understanding of the diverse educational offerings available and helped them make informed decisions about their academic pursuits.

Looking ahead, we are committed to participating in impactful events that empower individuals to explore educational and career pathways. Our virtual booth will remain a space for guidance, mentorship, and collaboration as we strive to support individuals in reaching their academic and professional goals. We invite everyone to stay tuned for upcoming events and opportunities to engage with us and the broader educational community.
